Georgian Historical-cultural heritage in Abkhazia

In Abkhazia (Georgia), from the IX to the XIX centur, the official language and only language of writter communication was Georgian. The first kings of Abkhazia called themselves sovereigns but considered their properti aparl of Georgia. This is apparent through numerous Georgian inscriptions left by Abkhazian Kings not only in Kartli and Imereti, but also in Abkhazia (for example, the inscription in Village Sjgkhua, Gudauta District).
